Based on the analysis of the domestic and international medical development, toimprove the people’s medical treatment level, improve people’s quality of life, theremote health care system based on wireless network is proposed. The traditionalconsultation model that the patient go to the hospital to seek medical treatment can notmeet the current demands and the traditional model is insufficient in resources,efficiency and quality. This will bring improvement to hospitals and health care industry.As a new medical mode, the remote health care system can not only shorten treatmenttime, reduce the medical cost, improve medical quality, but also convenient medicalprofessionals to care and treatment.This thesis focuses on the physiological data acquisition terminal, which is oneof the models of the remote health care system based on network. It is an intelligentterminal using embedded linux as the operating system and ARM processor S3C2440produced by Samsung as the core. By controlling various medical sensors, theintelligent terminal can collect real-time physiological data, then transmit the real-timephysiological data through computer network, Bluetooth, GPRS to the server anddatabase sotred in the hospital. The professional medical staffs can analysis of thesephysiological data to know about the health status of their diagnosis, so they can provetimely medical reatment for their patients. This thesis has discussed the design and therealization process of software and hardware of the intelligent terminal system in detail,and tested the system finally.The main work of this thesis is the design and realization of the intelligentterminal acquisition function, configurating a suitable linux kernel and transplanted tothe Micro2440target board, programming the driver under linux for various sensors, thedriver will be called by the upper application. Finally, we have tested the system, andthe result show that the system can correctly mesure, analysis various physiologicalparameters of the human body, then prove early warning function for the patients.
