Design And Implementation Of The Student Dormitory Information Management System Of Si Chuan College Of Architectural Technology

With deepening advancing of the reform of logistics colleges and universities, theinformation management of the student dormitory has become a problem faced by manyvocational colleges. However, vocational colleges are springing up rapidly and thestudent pool also rises significantly than before with promoting the vocational educationvigorously by the Chinese Government. It has become an urgent requirement forSichuan College of Architectural Technology (SCATC) on improving the dormitorymanagement working level to introduce scientific management theory and moderninformation technology, apply modern computer network technology, develop a set ofmanagement system to satisfy the work requirements of SCATC student dormitory’sinformation management, and facilitate the further standardization and modernization ofdormitory management and basic information collection, management and sharing,through building the a management and communication platform for studentmanagement department, college’s faculty and staff and decision-making managementpersonnel with the help the such management system.The design objective of SCATC student dormitory information managementsystem is to achieve the student dormitory information computer aided management forSCATC, namely, improving the form of current college dormitory management andincreasing the efficiency of college dormitory management so as to promote theinformatization level of dormitory information management.The paper mainly discusses the research background, research objective andsignificance as well as the development status at home and abroad of student dormitoryinformation management system. It illustrates in detail the theoretical knowledge andrelated technologies such as ASP, Web database, ActiceX, B/S mode and SQL Serverused in the system. And then, on the basis of full investigation, it undertakes demandanalysis and feasibility analysis on the system with the combination of the managementand workflow of college student dormitory and next, it designs and develops the systemin detail. The design of the system includes: the design objective and principle ofsystem, interface design and the main functional module of the system (student residence, daily behavior, dormitory service, dormitory management, culturalconstruction, student information management, self-service, system settings and so on)design and database design to complete the student dormitory’s informationmanagement system in the end.The design and implementation of SATAC student dormitory informationmanagement system are in line with the orientation of the student dormitorymanagement reform and development, meet the objective requirements of the studentdormitory information management, with the characteristics of the informatization ofthe vocational college student dormitory management. The functions will be improvedconstantly in practice, and the concept of design and development will be developedcontinuously in the real practice.
