With the wide application of computer technology in all fields, in recent years, computer technology has been made rapid development in school management. Dormitory management is an important part of school management, which is also an important part of student management. Perfect management system is conducive to the dormitory atmosphere changed and the construction of a harmonious dormitory. What’s more, dormitory management is beneficial to the coefficient increase of students’ dormitory security and the healthy development of students. A good dormitory environment is helpful for the improvement of the quality of student life and learning environment optimization. The application of students’ dormitory management system can make management of dormitory management easier and more convenient and more efficient so as to save a lot of labor, to realize the campus information management.This thesis first introduces the research background of dormitory management system, and explains that dormitory management depends on a large number of labor force and lots of paper to manage information in Mechanical and Electrical Technical School in Xinhui Jiangmen. So it takes time, and deals with corresponding matters slowly. And it illustrates that the optimization in research significance and research content of dormitory management process can reduce the manpower as much as possible to achieve paperless. In the business analysis, the paper made an analysis on the existing problems in the system of dormitory management, organization and the original business process, etc.Using the principle and method of software engineering, it analyses the system needs and the optimized business process was presented. It consists of optimization process of six modes of the students’ accommodation management process, the dormitory hygiene management process,the dormitory public property management process, daily accommodation matters management process, the dormitory security management process and student discipline management process. In functional analysis, according to the requirement of the computer system, it increases correspondingly two function modules, which are the foundation data management and system management,it based on case analysis and case description to clear the functions of the system, it gave the overall function package diagram and the subroutine package diagram of the system, including accommodation management package diagram, etc. In data analysis, the data that each function needs to deal with was analyzed, it Includes the thumbnail class diagrams of the students accommodation management, the dormitory hygiene management, the dormitory public property management, daily accommodation matters management, the dormitory security management, student disciplinary management, basic data management and system management, the entity class diagram is given and the database table structure is established. The thesis finally makes a summary of the research and analysis work and puts forward the future research in this field.
