With the increasingly amount of social power consumption, the number of high-voltage electrical equipments, which are in the charge of the heavy load transportation, such as high-votage switchgear, transformer, outdoor switch and mutual inductor, becomes larger and larger. For the electrical equipments under operation, temperature is a vital parameter. It can figures out correctly that the equipment is in normal working condition or not, through obtaining the essential information of equipments, such as operating temperature, relative temperature rising and phase temperature difference. As the inside of high-voltage and large-current equipments expose to high voltage, conventional methods of measuring temperature cannot put into use, which make it great difficult to monitor the temperature of high-voltage electrical equipments in power grid.Based on discussing the common methods of temperature measurement and understanding the advantages and disadvantages of each method, this dissertation put forward a kind of on-line wireless temperature monitoring system based on ZigBee technology.Then it describes the structure of the hardware modules and software design in the system. In this system, continuous monitoring of high-voltage equipments through the wireless temperature sensor, especially the operating temperature of the inside of high-voltage switchgears’or cables’joint parts,can get the degree of overheating in the contacts or joint parts.When the temperature or temperature gradient is out-of-limit, this system can make warning instructions in time to prevent the interruption maintenance,fires,large-area blackout accidents,which are due to the overheating of the joint parts of equipmentsThe system uses wireless network networking technology based ZigBee and radio waves for signal transmission.The sensor is installed on the high-voltage equipment and has no electrical contact with the receiving device, which has a very high reliability and security.Meanwhile, it uses array signal receiving system to amplify and filter the signal received by temperature sensor array, and then conducts A/D sampling to convert into digital.Finally, the system is and the effectiveness and practicability of the system applied in Hegang district are proved by long-term applicatino, which solve the problem fundamentally that the operation temperature of high voltage equipment is difficult of on-line monitoring, and improve the reliability and security of temperature monitoring for high voltage equipment in power grid.
