Virtual DCS reappears the real DCS on an open platform. It can achieve a full scope simulation of control logic and control policy fur real DCS. It also can realize the system application purpose of designing, debugging, personnel training, detecting and diagnosing. Virtual DCS has the high fidelity and openness. Virtual DCS is composed of virtual DPU, Engineer Station, function blocks, models, and HMI. The first four parts can be developed with Visual C++, and HMI is developed by SCADA. The SCADA supports OPC Specifications, it can get data from OPC Server as an OPC Client. In this paper, an OPC Server is developed to get data from virtual DPU, which can be send to SCADA, so that the data communication can be set up between SCADA and virtual DCS.First, this paper elaborates the knowledge and development condition of virtual DCS. Then introduces the background of the subject and the main work. Second give the development condition, structure and feature of SCADA system, and briefly introduces several SCADA systems at home and abroad. Then elaborates the principles and steps of creating a man-machine interface. Third, this essay introduces the basic concept of OPC Specifications, and discusses OPC Data Access Specification, which is the base of OPC asynchronous communication. Then elaborates the use of OPC technology in control system. In the last chapter, this dissertation develops an OPC Data Access Server in terms of OPC Data Access Specification which can be connected with SCADA system.
