SCADA is a kind of system which processes remote monitoring and data collecting of the computer. By collecting real-time operation data, it achieves full-scale monitoring of the peripheral equipment. Although SCADA is widely used in monitoring field, it does not have the ability of geospatial space analysis in remote monitoring. In addition, as a geographical information system, GIS has powerful function in spatial data processing, but it cannot collect real-time data of peripheral equipment. Therefore, this paper analyses the convergence of GIS system and SCADA system from the angle of the data integration and realizes mutual compensation of advantages. In GIS visual interface, it makes the real-time monitoring of the operating state of peripheral equipment possible which is of great significance.In this paper, it analyzes the structures and features of GIS system and SCADA system.Comparing the subsistent integrated methods and considering the demand of integration application and integration principle, the integrated mode of data integration of GIS system and SCADA system has been confirmed finally. By the integration of the two systems data, geographical information data and real-time data of the peripheral equipment can blend seamlessly. Finally the two systems achieve data sharing.Applying OPC technology to SCADA system, we can obtain the real-time data of peripheral equipment. Besides database link can ensure a good interaction between heterogeneous data. Based on these two considerations, this paper employs OPC technology and database link technology to build GIS and SCADA systems data integration model and implementation all parts of it. Applying the integrated model to remote monitoring field can effectively solve the problem that space information is supervised insufficiently in the existing monitoring and management system.The main research work sum up as follows:1. This paper studies the OPC technology in data acquisition applications and the database links implementation, building GIS and SCADA system data integration model based on the OPC and database links.2. This paper studies RIA development technology which is based on Flex. It gives full play to the superiority of Flex in Web client development and uses B/S architecture. It is supported by SuperMap iClient for Flash platform and develops a monitoring and management system based on the integration data model of GIS and SCADA systems.3. This paper completes the design of system client and server framework. By using SQL Server, it also realizes the excogitation of integration database. It achieves data sharing of GIS database and SCADA database, providing data support for the system.4. This paper completes the detailed functional design of the system and applies the comprehensive monitoring and management system to the field of intelligent traffic monitoring, to achieving the basic operation maps, information resource retrieval, sections of important structures show, electromechanical equipment information display, traffic real-time display and incident response handling and other functions.
