With the rapid development of radar technology, much higher requirements ofradar data acquisition system is demanded. High processing speed and high datathroughput capacity are required in signal processing system because of its large volumeof data and high real-time performance. PCI Express bus is the third generationhigh-performance I/O bus developed on the basis of traditional bus, with high-speed,high reliability, scalability characteristics and low cost. Nowadays, in order to achieve ahigh-speed data transmission, PCI Express is the first choice of most systems whosehardware interact via I/O bus.The development of WDM driver based on PCI Express bus, the design andimplemention of display and control software of the radar data acquisition system arediscussed in this paper.The display and control software facing of the user directlybuilds above the driver. By analysising the basic theories of data acquisition and PCIExpress, the system design and the hardware implementation are given. And the basicstructure and operating principle of WDM driver is introduced. Meanwhile, two keypoints is focused on:one is the development process of the PCI Express interface driversand the DMA transmission,another is the design and implemetion of display and controlsoftware of the radar data acquisition system using multi-thread and double cachetechnology based on MFC in the Visual C++environment.
