There are differences in the displaying principle and structure between the liquid crystal displaying device and the traditional one, so the testing equipment used to be applied in the traditional displaying devices can not be utilized in measuring the liquid crystal one. The Liquid crystal material transmittance measuring system is the important parameters for liquid crystal materials, LCD and designing of LCD driver circuit, besides, it poses critical directive significance for designing liquid crystal modules. Based on different gray-scale display, the principle for measurement is doing test on different attenuation of the beam.For the TN-LCD of the transmittance measurement system developed in the subject, first of all, according to the design requirements and indicators for the system, design proposal for the system is raised and the feasibility of the principle for the scheme is determined. The design task contains two parts: hardware design of the testing system and application developing for the system. Micro-controller is chosen as hardware platform for the main controlling chip building system, including LCD-driving and data-receiving parts. The function of LCD-driving part is outputing certain frequency according to the commands received by the serial line, peak-to-peak value, drive way and bias value of the waveform drive LCD display, and LCD driver uses the dynamic and bias-driving method. Data-receiving part mainly completes photoelectric conversion, I/V switching, information processing, data acquisition and MCU communications. According to the requirements and functions for individual modules, choosing the type of devices is completed.On the basis of the design for the hardware system, assembly language can be used to finish the compiling of the software program, including the compilation of LCD drivers, data acquisition program and parts of controlling program. Then, debug the software in the hardware system to finish the transmissivity data collecting and curve drawing. In the end, a summary about the whole design of the subject is made in this paper, and the improving measures for the problem existing in the subject and suggestions for further perfecting the system are proposed.
