Contact image sensor is small, light, easy assembly and has a high shockresistance. It is often used in the field of scanning maps, advertising and engineeringdrawings as the image sensor of a large format scanner. SOPC (System on aProgrammable Chip) is a SOC (System on Chip-chip system) technology based onFPGA. The paper’s main work is designing the CIS scanning controller based onSOPC.This article presents CIS scanning controller based on SOPC by analysis ofexisting scanning controller and programmable logic technology; through analysis ofcontact image sensor CIPS305BF600, designs the CIS scanning driver circuit usingWM8213as its analog front end; realizes the logic function module such as SPIconfiguration interface of WM8213、image point data collection、dynamic image pointcorrection、image data storing and image data uploading by the USB after researchingon the scanning control; introduces how to integrate Nios II and corresponding logicmodules which are packaged as self-defined peripherals into SOPC; finally, discussedthe method to program the Nios II to control the entire scanning process. It proves thatthe results meet the design requirements after timing simulation and system test.CIS scanning controller based SOPC not only reduces the complexity and cost ofthe control circuit, also improves the performance of the scanning control system. Ithas a certain reference value on the design and application of high-speed, wide-formatCIS scanning device.
