3D design and virtual assembly technology to become a research andapplication focus of the engineering manufacturing industry. In china, thistechnology has become the development direction of the engineering design andmanufacture, and most domestic enterprises product development are based ontwo-dimensional design, but by influence of the international environment anddomestic and foreign competitors, the computer2D design can no longer meet thecompany’s needs. However,3D design and assembly can improve the quality ofproduct engineering, to the development of the enterprise. The purpose of this paperis through the study of virtual assembly and related technology, to develop aparametric assembly system based on three-dimensional environment. It can reflect adigital three-dimensional solid model of the product equipment, by input of somekey product parameters, size, achieve product the serialization automatic assembly.This article discusses the secondary development through use of the VisualBasic Application based on platform of the three-dimensional design software ofAutodesk Inventor Professional2009, according to different specifications of thecentral skeleton of the sintering machine, to achieve rapid automatically create the3D model.Inventor provide the ActiveX interface, while secondary development using itto access and control the objects, attributes, methods and events in Inventor throughthe Visual Basic language, and establishment of the standardized structure templatein order to achieve to design parameterized and automation the physical modeling ofthree-dimensional of the central skeleton of the sintering machine, which can reducethe product design cycle and design works significantly.Early in the development, the study analyzes the Inventor secondarydevelopment of technology and three-dimensional assembly technology, determinesthe overall goal of the whole system, the total function, and a comparison of theoverall analysis and the size of linkage analysis for the system, finally reaches theconclusion that the overall architecture of the system development and program.Able to show by the example of three-dimensional physical model of thesystem program developed in this article: the implementation of this system can beautomated, parameterized three-dimensional solid model of the central skeleton of the sintering machine, and virtual assembly, and the use of the interface is simpleand easy to operate learning; structural engineering data in common, processing,linkage, and transmission; designers can enter the critical size parameters directly inthe development of the assembly. This article, in the middle of the sintering machineframe design has a very large significance of the three-dimensional, parametric,speed through the design and virtual assembly.
