In today’s era, the wireless sensor network is an emerging field of cutting-edgeresearch focus. Due to the characteristics of the wir eless sensor network which haslimited resources and is vulnerable to the impact of the external environment, thedeveloping of transport protocol stack in the domestic and international researchinstitutions have there own limitations. Therefore, along with launching a depthstudy on the transport protocol for wireless sensor network, some wireless sensornetwork transmission optimization protocol algorithms are proposed in thisdissertation.After summarized the basic concepts and features of the wireless sensornetwork, as well as a detailed analysis of the IEEE802.15.3specification andZigBee protocol which is suitable for short-range and low-speed wirelesscommunication, the Contiki embedded operating system and the Freakz protocolstack is selected as the design and implementation of the algorithm platform.What’s more, based on the features and functions of the WSN, three types ofnodes (sensor, router and coordinator) and three types of WSN topology (star, treeand mesh) are modeled by Ptolemy software. It implements the building networkprocess and the communication of wireless sensor network in the three types oftopology. In addition, the dissertation presents a packet loss detection algorithm inthe tree topology of wireless sensor network, and completes the modeling andsimulation of real-time monitoring of the packet loss by Ptolemy software.Finally, the dissertation improves the Freakz protocol stack code in the ARM7hardware development environment and the IAR software compiler environment. Itachieves the transmission and the processing process of the data frame of each node,the network formation command frame of the coordinator node, the network addingrequest command frame from child node to the parent node, the network leavingcommand frame by parent node ordered the child node. In addition, the dissertationalso presents the packet loss detection algorithm in the protocol stack which ispresented by modeling. It brings a certain security for wireless sensor networkcommunications.
