At present, all the countries in the world are developing intelligent equipment and system, especially,in recent years, the application of wireless technology is developing rapidly. But for the ward calling system, most parts of hospitals are using the traditional wire calling, even in few area,it is using the artificial call that is the earliest type. This method is time-consuming and laborious. But the traditional ward calling system has many shortcomings, such as difficult wiring, cable installation, difficult and inconvenient maintenance and increasing the bed of the ward calling. Now for the patient, the requirement to the hospital is quick and timely diagnosis and treatment, reduce time and cost. With a variety of wireless mature, it will be the birth of a new technology application. Especially in recent years, the development of ZigBee technology is faster and more widely used. Especially in the ward calling, ZigBee technology has some particular advantages. ZigBee is a kind of short distance wireless communication technology, the data transmission with low power consumption, high reliability, large network capacity, small time delay, strong compatibility, high safety, low cost,compact and simple protocol suite and a series of advantages. Therefore, in view of the advantage of this technique, based on the ZigBee soft and hardware technology,it designs a simple wireless ward calling system.Designed wireless ward calling system according to the practice requirement, differ between the traditional wired calling system. This paper consists of three parts.The first part,expatiates the technical background of ZigBee and the development process of ZigBee. Analysis of the domestic and foreign wireless system state. At the same time, points out a development trend of future wireless calling system. This paper introduces the characteristics of ZigBee, and compares with several short distance wireless communication technology,and introduces the ZigBee network architecture and network topological structure.The second part,It analysis of the actual demand, according to the demand, descrip the structure of the system, determines the design scheme of wireless system. Using ZigBee CC2530development platform, for the interface module which are analyzed, it clarify some interface module with general interface and gives the interface circuit diagram. Then it analyzes the function of the ZigBee protocol stack and the process of establishing network by coordination. Using the rich library function, writing a program is to achieve system function.The third part,Confirming the completeness and correctness of the program,correcting the burning process, simulating software structure,Correcting the system network structure. Then it tests the system function and ensure normal communication in order to achieve the desired results.In summary, this paper implements a new wireless calling mode and application in the ward. The system has the advantages of simple operation, good stability, low power consumption, high safety and easy installation and debugging, it can meet the basic needs of the patient’s call. Application prospect of this technique system in life has always been optimistic view.
