| Crime news report is an important kind, and also controversial report style. Causes of crime problems are many reasons, not only the complex individual factors, but also deep social reasons. Especially in the transition period of China, the social unfair phenomena have occurred, crime rate also rose. News reports focus on hot and difficult social problem. Make good use of crime news which is a "double-edged sword", strive to play the positive effect of crime news, all are the meaning of the title of crime news reports.There are the researches on different levels of Crime News report, and this thesis will study angle of view is placed in the crime news report in the ’protagonist’--criminal, studying the problem of the criminal in narrative text from narratological theory. The crime of media presented in this thesis refers to the crime person in the news, through which the narration, sketched out in news text. This paper is mainly about the research of crime presents the narrative strategy, with the methodology significance. Select the "Southern Metropolis Daily", because it is the leader of the metropolis newspaper. From the news writing, it is a large amount of information, have deep idea, and in crime news reports abandoned sexy tabloid writing, the diversification of subject matter, at the same time with the serious attitude, and plain style. The author thinks, the way of "Southern Metropolis Daily" in crime news report has a reference and research significance. So, in this paper, taking the "Southern Metropolis Daily"8,9two months in2012of crime news reports as the research sample.In the research methods, the thesis by combining quantitative and qualitative, using narrative perspective, journalism and communication, sociology, hermeneutics and other multidisciplinary research, trying to show characteristics of criminal of crime news report, as well as the relationship between the event text and news text.In the structure of the thesis, the first chapter defines the related concept of narratology, news reports of crime and criminals. The second chapter to the fourth chapter, using the related narratological theory, namely functional narrator, narrative text placed mood and rhythm arrangements and propulsion, and described the construction of criminal text in narrative elements of crime, people described in this paper is presented in what way, and structure of the text.
