With the innovation of liquid crystal display technology, Enlargement of screensize and more efficient LED backlight for LCD TV has become the developmenttrend. But there are some problems of LCD image quality, such as motion blur causedby the long response time of liquid crystal, and crosstalk of shutter glasses3D LCD.In some cases these problems shackle the development of LCD TV image quality,which makes the image quality a new research subject. This paper on image quality ofLarge-Screen LED backlight LCD TV focusing on motion blur in2D display andcrosstalk in3D display.First, This paper introduces the principles of liquid crystal display, theapplication and development of FPGA, the design of LED backlight and the cause ofimage quality problems of2D and3D LCD TV.This paper puts forward and focuses on backlight scanning technology and framerate decreasing technology of shutter glasses3D LCD TV, and validates both on theFPGA hardware platform. The results show that these technologies can significantlyimprove image quality of large-screen LED backlight LCD TV in2D and3D display,making images more vivid.The backlight scanning technology and frame rate decreasing technologydeveloped in this paper can improve image quality of large-screen LED backlightLCD TV verified by the subjective and objective experiment obviously. Thetheoretical inference and system design in this paper provides an actual basis forresearching and spreading image quality improving tech. The achievement of thispaper has been successfully applied in a number of Hisense large-screen LEDbacklight LCD TVs and profits well.
