Digital Welding Power Quality Analysis Based On Virtual Instrument

With the rapid development of power electronics, micro-electronics technologyand the continuous appearance of new electronic apparatus, advanced controltechnology and new technics, weld equipments and their control technology havebeen greatly improved. However, modern industrial manufacture consistently putforward bigger requirement to weld equipments and their controlling technology. Therequirement demand weld equipments and their controlling technology transformfrom stimulant controlling technology to the digital controlling technology necessarily.What’s more, it will make the weld equipment’s controlling technology become moreintelligent.In the new welding process test and analyses system, we found a suit of weldingprocess test hardware with LEM sensor based on computer data sample. On thesebasic hardware we develop a whole set of test and analysis software based onLabVIEW language.The system is based on virtual instrument technology, and integrating many newtechnologies including the technology of digital, computer, control, and test. Hallsensor gathers welding machine’s voltage electric current signal, after a signalconditioning, through the data acquisition card PCI6024E, the industrial controlcomputer tested welding machine’s electrical parameter such as voltage deviation, frequency deviation, fluctuation, three-phase imbalance and harmonic finally. Afully functional test software has been developed, to analyse and process the rawdata, and display in the form of graphics and text emerged.By analyzing the function needs, the structure of measurement system isconfirmed, all parts of the system are described, then the hardware based onPCI6024E and software based on LABVIEW are designed. The measurement systemcan acquire data, analysis signal, transfer data and replay, which have multi-functionand has friendly man-machine interface. In this text, we tested the NBC series Weldequipment, and we achieved good results.
