Virtual machines (VI) is a computer technology and electronic equipment arising from the combination of a new equipment. Its essence is a kind of virtual instrument system based on hardware platform of common computer, defined by the users of its test functions, tested by software to achieve its function.It is a fundamental concept of updated machines, and has the unmatched advantages of the traditional equipment. It represents the emergence of the latest developments of the apparatus of the trend and direction.At present ,there are many kings of testing equipment in the market.But most of the equipment exist a single function, limited test accuracy, high cost of the development and maintenance and long production cycle, cumbersome of production testing and maintenance and so on. Therefore, it is nessary to develop a harmonic test equipment of a high-precision, multi-functional and scalability. Development of a virtual harmonic tester, can significantly improve the quality and efficiency of the electrical testing apparatus.It has significant social and economic benefits.The main contents of this paper is a virtual harmonic design and development testing. Firstly, paper sets out the study of the status quo at home and abroad, and the development of the harmonic detection technology. This tests the nessary of studying the harmonic detection devices. Secongly, the paper gives a single introduction of the concept of virtual instruments, and does a brief introduction of virtual instrument hardware and software systems. In order to get better application of virtual instrument technology to complete the development of harmonic tester, the process of data collection and harmonic analysis algorithm is summarized in this article. The virtual harmonic tester is successfuly researched and developed by using common computer,LabVIEW and Advantech board.The virtual harmonic tester can be completed in real-time data acquisition, display, storage and further processing. The tester also can be realized the determination of system parameters, the results of analysis, data retention and other functions.In frequency measurement module, the principle of zero-crossing detection to achieve frequency tracking is adopted in this paper. The results show that the method can be applied to the frequency of sub-tests. And can accurately detect the frequency of the current signal.In this paper, we adopt the second sampling methods and software filtering technology, in order to reduce the non-synchronous sampling errors and noise.This not only makes full use of the computer data-processing function and effective suppression of the spectrum leakage,but also ensure the measurement accuracy and simplifyi the hardware...
