Prison monitoring system is an important part of the prison management system, it is also a powerful tool for the prevention and treatment of emergency event. In recent years, application of monitoring system has become more and more widely in the social production and life, it also play a positive effect in the maintenance of social order and a harmonious society.According to the practical application of customer demand for the prison system, combined with the development trend of domestic prison monitoring and application status, I design an Ethernet prison monitoring system based on Cortex-A8by using embedded technology and network technology, it can play the real-time and active control in a certain extent. The main work of this subject is to analysis demand according to customer requirements, framework the system, and makes a brief analysis of designing the monitoring node hardware and overall software.Hardware:firstly, make an introduction of the alarm system, then design the hardware of monitoring node, its content mainly includes MCU control module, Ethernet control module, input and output module and power module. System uses ARM processor S5PV210of Cortex-A8series as the main control chip, using ENC28J60chip as Ethernet control module according to the requirements of data transmission, and study the input and output module function. Focusing on the overall architecture of hardware and the realization process.Software:achieve the ENC28J60Ethernet driver and TCP/IP protocol by using C language. Then make a detailed description of the design about alarm module and network alarm module. About management software to monitoring host computer, use MFC technology in windows system. Monitoring software makes data communication through Ethernet and controlling nodes, and so manages the monitoring node. Lastly realize the storage, processing and query for monitoring data. The paper realizes the acquisition, transmission and analysis for sensor signal, or sentry trigger signal, ultimately to achieve a complete prison monitoring system. Through testing, this system has a strong practical value.
