With the development of optoelectronics, the photoelectric detector has become anessential part, which is widely used in fields, including high-speed detection,high-energy physics, radiation detection, especially the X-ray detector. In the researchof inertial confinement fusions, in the mean of detecting X-ray from the laser plasma, itis possible to diagnose the characteristic parameters and fast change processes of laserplasma. So there is a promising demand for X-ray detectors.This thesis presents a kind of small ultra wide-spectrum and ultrafast photoelectricdetector. The detector, including open-window photodiodes, ultra-wideband coaxialoutput connectors and the resistance to high-pressure vacuum seal joints, adopts theopen-window X-Ray diode(XRD) detector structure, which is based on the principle ofthe photoelectric effect. And the open-window photodiodes and ultra-wideband coaxialoutput connectors are designed by electromagnetic simulation software HFSS, which isproduced by the Ansoft. While the resistance to high-pressure vacuum seal joints aredesigned by the AutoCAD, produced by the Autodesk of United States.Punching at the bottom of the anode of the small ultra wide-spectrum and ultrafastphotoelectric detector, forms the anode. The anode storage capacitance is constituted byadopting high dielectric constant film around the outboard section of the anode. Theultra-wideband coaxial output connector adopts the standard50ohm coaxial structure,and it is convenient to connecting the detector with external test equipment. Theresistance to high-pressure vacuum seal joint implements the connection with externalhigh-voltage equipments with metal inner conductor. The small ultra wide-spectrum andultrafast photoelectric detector with these designs achieves perfect performances,including fast response, large bandwidth, wide dynamic range and high sensitivity.The relevant experiments of the small wide-spectrum and ultrafast photoelectricdetector show that full wave at half maximum of response time of the detector, underthe high voltage5000V, can reach45.3ps. When the ray energy is maintained at a levelof150~5000eV, the sensitivity of the detector can reached4.1610-4~1.3610-6C/J.The test results show that the performance of the detector fully meet the expected target.
