With the development of Information Technology, especially the popularity of network technology, communication technology and multimedia technology, the remarkable improvements have been achieved on the running speed of computer, width of broadband and data compression in recent years. Network has a gradually growing of the service quality of audio and video. And video conference, distance learning and internet live broadcasting based on the Internet which all require high quality performance emerge a fold increasing tendency. The research how to improve the synchronization of audio and video has become a hot topic in the academic and has great application value.The premise of the synchronization problem of audio and video is that audio and video are separately captured and transmitted, which is limited by the application background of the paper. Through the comparison and analysis of the currently existing synchronization methods of audio and video, the paper marks the concurrently captured audio and video with the"Timestamp Synchronization Mark". And in order to reach good synchronization, the paper puts forward the proposal of synchronization based on the two sides of communication which include collection compression and transmission at the sending end, and reception decompression and playback at the receiving end. Those steps all inject the method of synchronization control, which further reduce the inaccuracy of synchronization.The paper specifically studies transmission and reception of audio and video that play a key role in the synchronization of audio and video, especially when network is congestion, that have a strong impact on the synchronization of audio and video. So the paper puts forward the algorithm"Real-time Monitoring and Early Warning Based on Network and Buffer"to response the situation of network in time, which will return the information of feedback to sender. The simulation results show that the algorithm can indicate well the situation of network and play a feedback role. What's more, in order to guarantee the received audio and video that is played at same time, the paper uses the algorithm"Controlling Video Play Based on Audio Timestamp". By the experimental, the algorithm can guarantee synchronization well.
