It incorporates a variety ofresearch achievements, Include machine vision, robot navigation and orientation, patternrecognition, multiple sensor fusion and human-computer interface etc. Involvingmachinery, controls, sensors, artificial intelligence technology, etc. It for defense,industrial, and agricultural modernization in our country, raise people’s living standard hasimportant significance.The study of autonomous mobile wheelchair no matter look fromthe academic point of view or from the social benefits are significant.The main content of this topic: Choose the appropriate sensor system, fordetermination of obstacle distance ahead as well as the surrounding environmenttemperature; implementation of wheelchair speed measurement and control function; thewheelchair can be controled move forward, backward, turn left, turn right, and spin aroundpolymorphism; communicate with PC; avoid the obstacles in the process of walking.In view of the above requirements in the design, proceed with the mechanical design,electronic circuit design, sensor technology, software design, multiple ultrasonic sensorsfusion and other parts, realize the design of autonomous mobile wheelchair. Autonomousmobile wheelchair can automatic control, can also be controlled manually. It has two kindsof indoor and outdoor models. Through the sensor system can realize the monitoring ofsurrounding environment information, realize the obstacle avoidance and speed. To theupper and lower communication function. Multiple ultrasonic sensors fusion techniquebased on fuzzy neural network is studied and simulated.After three years of efforts, the wheelchair has been achieved the autonomousmobile,have great social significance and academic value.
