As a very important method in the field of nondestructive testing, ultrasonic detection technology is developing very rapidly in recent years. Ultrasonic testing of materials is seized by ultrasound into the material to detect internal defects.However, in the wheel testing, due to the remote location of some defects, manually location of the defect is often needed. Motorcycle wheel is an important component of the train, and it is also one of the most main factors effecting the train safe operation. In addition, with the improvement of the velocity of the train in recent years, the working conditions of the wheel are getting worse, which cause more and more wheel damage. So it has been one of the main factors of the safe operation of the trains.We should not only find the detection of defects, but also determine the specific location and size of defects in quantity accurately, and it is known that the position, qualitative and quantitative defect detection is a basic requirement of the detection. Compared with other parameters, the defect location is more essential, and cause error and interpretation.Aiming at wheel testing, the data acquisition software of UT is developed. This system can finish A and B scanning and show the picture of the defect.Real-time data transmission is realized by method of TCP/IP. The data is transmitted from server of device to client computer by using pattern of C/S. Meanwhile the data base is established considering the some current ICQs by using Data Base Management System of MySQL. The Server is connected with the Client by ways of Socket TCP. Server adopts multithread to meet the requirement of multiuser, which is connected with database with JDBC. And the system can transmit real-time data of many devices synchronously based on multithread and synchronous configuration in server.By debugging the data acquisition and storage system, the result shows the system can fulfill the data acquisition and storage for the ultrasonic signal, which is useful in the ultrasonic testing system.
