| Nowadays, with the rapid social and economic development of the world, informatization has already become one important symbol of a country or a district’s comprehensive strength and international competitiveness. Accelerating the process of informatization is an inevitable option for every country to improve its competitiveness. The wide use of information technology sets a higher request to economic management, but also provides new technical methods for government management. The construction of information technology network is an important work of our national informatization in the present and the following period. The government should play the leading role to improve the development of information technology throughout national economy and society.This thesis is based on the project of office automation system of Zhoukou Civil Affairs Bureaus. Zhoukou city is divided into10urban and suburban districts with a population of more than11million. Civil Affairs Bureau plays an important role in safeguarding and improving people’s livelihood, especially in city like Zhoukou, a typical city of huge population and weak economy. In order to provide good service for the big number of citizens and deal with the huge workload efficiently, it is urgent and necessary to establish an information networking system in Zhoukou Civil Affairs Bureau. Office automation system will help staff of civil affairs bureaus from different districts of Zhoukou city, to work together over the time and space limits. Thus, with the expanded working methods, all staff from the civil affairs system can work more efficiently and provide better service for citizens.Based on Java development technology, this system adopts B/S (Browser/server) mode, in order to establish an office automation system with a Web at the core. Accordingly, the network system can help improve working condition, ease the working staff’s workload, improve the work quality and efficiency, and also accelerate the process of standardization, scientificalness and networking of management. Through a detailed research and investigation of relevant technologies used in office automation system such as system application model and system technology development, this system builds an overall structure of a networking system, and sets basic functions of the system based on a detailed analysis of actual conditions. This system is divided into two parts,"An Internal Network of Zhoukou Civil Affairs Bureau" and " A Network System of Civil Affairs Bureaus of all Districts of Zhoukou". This system consists of the following modules:basic management, personnel management, system management, rights management, login management, business management etc.. In addition, this system also sets modules such as news, advertisements, and personal mailbox, in order to improve the comprehensive ability of the system to its fullest extent. |
