3D virtual garment technology is a new topic which simulates cloth in virtual world. There are many technical problems in the process of cloth simulation. Among them, sense of reality and real-time capability is a pair of contradiction, and meanwhile, lots of model parameters have direct effect on final results, which lead stability and generality get significant attention in all kinds of algorithms.Garment modeling and virtual try-on algorithms have been studied and developed for3D virtual garment technology. In modeling process, CD-TIN mesh based on geometric method was created. Search and positioning for mesh were optimized, and several sub procedures were simplified to produce final mesh, which has various outline. Afterwards, mass-spring model was created based on physical method, a method to select parameters was proposed, and different states of garment model were described carefully and accurately. In virtual dressing process, a sequence of sub algorithms have been developed, including sleeve rolling, garment piece sewing, virtual try-on, collision detection and response, detection optimization, external force application, integration of particle motion, spring constraint and so on. Some of them were improved, for example, sewing force in sewing procedure was eliminated, spring information after sewing procedure were completed, model dependency of multi parameters was reduced, and a new basic element collision detection algorithm was introduced. Finally, some algorithms in virtual dressing process have been extended, preliminary study has been made to solve multi-layered garment collision and self-collision, and a new method to dress multi-posed human body was proposed.According to the research, the execution speed and model stability of simulation system are enhanced. At a certain extent, it is possible to achieve balance in sense of reality, stability, and generality simultaneously.
