Virtual clothing design has always been a very important position in the garment manufacturing industry.In recent years,there are more and more application scenarios of computer aided design,and it has a good engineering application value to research a reasonable and efficient clothing virtual stitching algorithm.Based on the self-developed "personalized virtual clothing design system platform",CAD garment design features have been developed,the algorithm of garment sewing and folding has been achieved.The garment pieces are split into triangular meshes,the finite element analysis has been used to simulate the physical movement of clothes,and distance field technology has also been used to simulate the impact of three-dimensional human body model and clothing pieces.According to the one-to-one,one-to-many,many-to-many sewing situations,a divide-and-conquer algorithm based on the approximate matching had been proposed to solve the problem of free stitching effectively.A suture folding algorithm is proposed based on the Bridson Fold Effect Model.The actual folding effect of the three-dimensional virtual clothing has achieved by applying additional bending force to the patch near the suture.The algorithm performs well in the test environment.
