The Internet has emerged as a compelling channel for sale of apparel with the flourishing development of electronic business affairs. To allow the users to choose and try on the clothes conveniently and quickly, and even important, to make it realistic and effective, the origination of VFR (Virtual Fitting Room) become a necessity. VFR provides a real time platform for the users to choose the best one from kinds of dresses and try it on the virtual model. Many drawbacks exist in current online virtual fitting room. The general technology employed in 3D virtual try-on system is virtual sewing. The time complexity of modeling garment using this technology is considerable thus dramatically damaging real-time try-on. Browse/Server or Client/Server technique is adopted in the virtual try-on system which is on central server. Facing massive client ends, this one to more technique is a bottle neck due to the abundant knots of information slowing down the response. At last, shopping garment with companion for advice is a need for clothing commodity. In practice, consumers shop with relatives and friends for advice of the dressing performance. The present 3D virtual try-on system can not meet this demand.Via the research in the universal pattern of VFR system and detailed demand analysis of net-based virtual try on, we present a new implementation of VFR which named 3D Garment Exhibition System Based on Instant Messaging Platform, to overcome the shortcomings of existing systems.Based on textiles and clothing, three-dimensional body measurement technology, computer graphics, OpenGL, COM technology, P2P technology, Instant Messaging, etc. technologies, the article uses scanned body surface wear as clothing models, which overcomes the large time complexity of clothing modeling, and then through the three-dimensional body feature extraction, gesture synchronization, collision detection and response to the final realization of light and material under the dress form with a realistic three-dimensional simulation. While taking advantage of COM technology make three-dimensional garments into the dressing room system control which used in instant messaging (MSN). Finally, consumer through instant messaging can observe the effect of the various styles of clothes and instantly communicate, which achieve the purpose of collaborative shopping. It is not uncommon for penetration to occur when 3D garment is dressed onto various human bodies. In order to solve this problem, a method based on surface penetration recovery has been proposed in this paper. The penetrated detection and recovery between the human body and the 3D garment is categorized as garment vertex/body triangle, garment edge/body triangle respectively. The over-deformation is compensated via the position adjustment procedure. The research results are applied to the three-dimensional garment simulation environment and the different simulation examples verify the feasibility and efficiency of the above algorithm. 3D garment simulation system are transformed into ActiveX control Applied MSN by using of COM technology.
