Study On Project Management Mode Of Library Electronic Resources Construction Of Xi’an Shiyou University

With the development of the modern information technology, electronic resources have become an important part of the information resources in university library. The direction and speed of the development of electronic resource as well as its proportion in the library collection resources are directly related to the structure, the distinguishing feature and the quality of the library collection. In this context, analyzing problems raised and their solutions in the electronic resources construction project management, studying the establishment of electronic resources construction project management pattern and regulating the management work will be of practically important significance in construction process of library informatization.The current situation of the construction of library electronic resources is studied and a practical management mode for university library electronic resources construction project management is established by using project management theory and methods in this paper through a test-case of Xi’an Shiyou University to find out the problems which will be met in daily work and their causes. The proposed electronic resources construction project is divided into four stages:start stage, planning stage, implementation stage and closeout stage based on the features of the electronic resources construction project management and the management mode presented in this paper, each stage will have its own management model developed on the project management theory to systematize and normalize library electronic resources construction project management in university, and to achieve the ultimate goal for improving operation rate of electronic resources and providing teachers and students a high quality service of the literature information.
