Study On The Development And Utilization Of Database Resource In Anhui "211 Project" Academic Library

In twenty-one century, Humans have entered the information age. With the rapid development of computer technology, communication technology and network technology, the structure of the library resources has changed greatly. The rapid development of digital, network, and electronic technology makes the type of library information resources and resource development from a single paper to the co-existence of a variety of electronic information and bibliographic information, and the information resources of digital resources is becoming the mainstream. Library database of electronic resources in the last ten years have been rapid advances in library information collection, storage and retrieval of tremendous influence, which changed the paper-based resources, and library users with access to information based approach. In a few short years, because the database is easy to search electronic resources, published fast, and spread rapidly, and its high academic value unique advantages, more and more popularity of all clients gradually become the main source of access to information and intelligence. Meanwhile, the construction of a database of resources on teaching and research also play a huge role in promoting this. Under this circumstance, how to purchase and how to use electronic resources become the great opportunities and new issues which the library is now facing.Database construction is the core of the 21st century library automation, and it is also the foundation of library digital and network. To meet the changing information environment and to meet the diversity of users'requirements, various types of libraries at home and abroad in the original collection of traditional policies made a big adjustment, from a new kind of information resources-digital resources into the main building collection development policies. Database of electronic resources draw attention by all types of libraries both domestically and internationally as special and very important digital resources.In the context of the study, the National University Library began to focus on the construction of database resources seriously, a time which sets off a nationwide "database of heat" wave. However, the construction of database resources is not easy, nor copying the development model of other museum. In the database construction process, if not "tailor", not to overall planning, will inevitably bring about some negative effects, such as the duplication of database resources, acquisition process after the database in use, because the database library propaganda is not enough User information literacy levels of the existence of missing factors, resulting in low utilization of the database. Database can not be effectively used, which will inevitably result in the database of their resources to buy a waste of money. Therefore, the library should take effective measures in the database construction and use of the process, according to the actual demand planning, database development, through awareness training to improve the quality of the user access to information, so that a reasonable construction of the database is used to make the rich database of electronic resources in teaching and play a greater role in research, truly maximizing the benefits of the database.In view of this, this paper chooses three colleges,whose School-level school have distinctive features, represent the highest academic level of the Anhui Province "211" University (Anhui University, Hefei University of Technology. China University of Technology). based on the comprehensive results and previous theoretical studies related to resource development and use of domestic and international database based on practice. Field trips and questionnaire research methods are used by a brief analysis of the problems during its construction and use of database. According to the actual situation of schools and libraries, this paper puts forward some feasible solutions accordingly.First, this paper introduces the collection database types and the contents of three school library by and large, On this basis, this paper researches some situations of the database constructed and used from the database construction and development of school disciplines the use features and the database level and the number of users of two three schools perspective of three school library database establishment and utilization were studied.Then, by visiting the library staff and users such as school teachers and graduate students, this paper found some problems to be solved in the process of database construction and use, such as database resource duplication of construction, special database resources fragmented, resources were not effectively shared, document delivery services carried out by small, foreign language database utilization is generally low, the quality varies widely from other user information,and so on. The paper analyses the reasons of these problems specifically and in depth.Finally, on the basis of this comprehensive analysis on this paper before, this paper puts forward constructive solutions to these problems which are related to recommendations and looks forward to helping the three schools with their library database resource development and utilization.
