City water distribution network is a huge complex network。Because of the water supply increasing, the water distribution pipe network becomes more and more complicated. It would benefit economy by using current appliances to optimally operate the first pumping station and the second pumping station to a municipal water supply system.The water pressure and flux of all network nodes were simulated real-timely by a total water and water pressure at a few nodes. Then the process of optimal control for water distribution network was suggested and the information software was produced.Through the city water supply pipe network geographic information system (GIS), optimal dispatch model in municipal water supply system were produced and controlled on-line by computer. To all sorts of GIS products and producing way the comparative analysis, determination by use of GIS software and the produceing of GIS way, to select the suitable compiling language. Combined with the optimal dispatch water supply and content of the software for business and the analysis,then draws the functional requirements and software, and designs the scheduling of water distribution network software whole function frame structure. Use ArcGIS Desktop build pipeline GIS database.Then use ArcGIS Engine and C#of pipe networks second producing, realize the optimal operation of water distribution network software.The conclusions of this paper are following:(1) Using the ArcGIS Desktop of ESRI company production pipeline GIS data, for the operation of the network optimization scheduling platform to provide data.(2) According to the optimal operation platform of the water supply pipe network computing and practical required platform framework. The ArcGIS Engine and the C#integrated second development pipeline network optimization scheduling platform. Use a provider of ArcGIS Engine components GIS function realization to compile the pipeline GIS figure of coherence. Realize network scheduling platform and pipeline GIS figure of data exchange, share, and achieve the functionality needed platform:graphics operation and graphics management data editing, Data inquires, data analysis.(3) Use operation condition based on real-time simulation of pipe network optimization scheduling model.A software was designed to resolve the optimal control model,and it was used to optimize a water distribution network operation. And increases the designing calculation of pipe network,the checking calculation of pipe network, the choicing of pressure measure point.
