Research On Competitive Intelligence Based On Patent Information In Electronic Map Field

The competitive intelligence of enterprises is produced under conditions ofeconomic globalization, informatization, the demand for knowledge and networking.Competitive intelligence research which is a typical creative action is more importantthan ever on the decision. This dissertation, firstly，discussed the scientific significationfor the competitive intelligence and expounded the contents，character, work process,functions and it’s important role in improving enterprises’ competitive power.Competitive intelligence is one of the most significant manifestations on researchand innovation. Through a comprehensive analysis on patent information， we candiscover the important information such as R&D focus, R&D strength, R&D directionand market strategies about relevant enterprises and industry. Full use of this informationenterprises can enhance capability of independent innovation and the overallcompetitiveness. Secondly, this thesis discussed patent analysis theory, which includeddefinition, types，methods,application and so on.This Paper introduce Patent analysis method into Electronic map technology, thePatent application of Electronic map technology have a detailed analysis of the situation.In this paper we selected electronic map industry as the research object and discussed thecurrent development status, the main types, key technique and existing problem ofelectronic map industry. Then based on patent data and combines with the mostcommonly patent analysis method, this paper analyzed the patent information from twoaspects. One is from the patent management level analyzed the Electronic map patentfrom annual patent number, the number of different type,the main patentee, the main IPCdistribution，the main Competitive state. We can understand the development pattern,development situation and the main research area of electronic map from different charts.The other is from the technology level analyzed life cycle and citation of the patent data.Then we can know the trend of development and Industry situation.The results show that: I. The domestic and foreign electronic map technology is inrapid development period. II. The main competitor countries are the United States, Japan,South Korea and so on. The main competitors companies are the Toyota car, MicrosoftCorp, Japan Denso etc. III. Research focus in the field of electronic map at home and abroad have both similarities and differences.Finally, on the basis of the above analysis, combined with the patent situation ofelectronic map industry, analyzed the issue of industrial development, and gavecorresponding countermeasures and suggestions to enterprises and government.
