For Chinese people, Anti-Japanese War is a national liberation struggle againstaggression and oppression,and also a just war to maintain peaceful for the world. TheMarco Polo Bridge Incident on July7,1937marked the beginning of the comprehensiveAnti-Japanese War. At that time Anti-Japanese War was becoming a hot word on theinternational news papers.The bravely fights of the Communist Party of China was causing concern toforeign journalists in China. They kept reporting the CPC and published monographs tospread them. Among the foreign journalists, American journalists’ behaviors areremarkable. Edgar Snow and his wife Helen Snow, Anna Lewis Strong, Agnes Smedley,Isreal Epstein, Harrison Forman, Jack Belden, Theodore White are the representatives.They overcame difficulties and risks to go deep into the Communist Party’ controlregion, reporting what they have seen. Through them the outside began to know thereality about the CPC. Reports, papers and books written by the American people inChina were introduce the CPC and CPC’s anti-Japanese base areas objectively toKuomintang-controlled areas and the people of the world.The American journalists in China spread the good image of CPC to westernpeople—the most attractive revolutionaries of the era.The American journalists in China set up communication channel between CPCand American government. The CPC has been noticed by the American military throughthe American journalists`reports. Fordyce Carlson and the Dixie Mission came toYan`an in succession.In contrast, some western reporters keep reporting some China’s controversial andinconclusive incidents, causing some misunderstanding about China. By consideringthat, summed up the successful experiences of the American journalists`reports duringthe anti-Japanese War has more important academic values and practical significances.The paper all contains five parts. The first part is the introduction and overview ofthe basis of this study, including the research status and innovation of this paper. Thesecond part at first introduce the contacts between CPC and American people in Chinaby identity. Then introduce the communication texts written by the American people,including books and reports. The third part discuss the communication reasons andviewing angles. The fourth part relying on the communication theory summarizing the communication strategy adopted by the American people in China during the spread.The fifth part focus on the communication experiences to today`s communicationbetween China and American.
