Camera module in today’s society is increasingly becoming an important part ofpeople. The aim of researching camera module and image quality is in order to bettermeet the more need of the market and desire of big pixel, high speed and best imagequlity. Realize the pursuit of science and technology progress.This thesis, firstly, researched the component of camera module from notebookmodule and mobile module, the feature of each parts, the function of whole module.And from the camera module working principle, we analyzed the design cameramodule needs from module demand, module structure, module solid frame structureinto consideration. And design some notebook camera module from the principlediagram, frame diagram, component characteristic.Then this article discusses how to evaluate camera module. Analyzed this means,method, formula, procedures, etc for evaluating camera module and the whole flow oftesting camera module. This article listed how to testing camera module from8items,including Resolution, Color correct, Signal to noise ration, Relative illuminance, colorshading, Deadpixel, Particle. Which covers the optical, color science, optical use,optical testing, image test content.This paper built the hardware frame structure of detecting camera module. Andstudied the external environment and the related problems involving in the cameramodule focus and image detection, including temperature, humidity, light intensity,air cleanliness, test hardware equipment, test software and so on. Then researchedkey technologies of testing system, including the theory and method of designingtesting chart, size and line width of chart，How to automatic locate.Finally researched the key core technology of the system software. How to builda data model, how to use VC realize data model, how to integrate LabView, OpenCVetc, including software overall structure, image processing engine, Particle,two-dimensional code, automatic positioning principle and method.
