As the rapid development of network, the network security issues emerge inlarge numbers. Some websites are the source of these problems. There needmeasures to filter these websites. But the present IP address filtering system costhigh and is not easy to control. This paper uses virtual routers to solve theseproblems. The virtual router cost low, and the function is more and more perfect. Thebasic functions of true routers can be achieved in a virtual router. The virtualrouter as a software is able to be modified to achieve some special functions.First of all, through the analysis of the virtual router Quagga, this paperpresents some improved methods of routing algorithm to improve the virtualrouter performance, and reduce the routing table storage space, and solve therouting table storage space problem. Secondly, this paper uses the method ofpackets storage in Linux, captures network packets with Netfilter framework andmarks it, and then achieves a special policy routing. This part improve flexibilityof the IP address filtering system. In addition, as prospective study of IPv6routing strategy, this paper also introduces the definitions of IPv6stream andflow label, and put forward how to accelerate the speed of router forwarding. Finally, in this paper, by using the virtual router that has been improved routingalgorithm instead of the secondary router of the IP address filtering system andusing dynamic routing protocol, we spread the static routing of virtual router tothe real router, then extend the real routers’ capacity, and reduce the cost of thesystem.
