Automatic test equipments are used throughout military products’s all aspectsinclude development, acceptance, maintenance and so on. The test results become animportant basis to judge the security and quality of weapons and equipments. Therefore,to ensure the validity and correctness of the automatic test equipment become animportant link that can not be ignored. However, there is no effective means ofcalibration to calibrate ATEs which are not equipped with calibration device, but havealready been put into use. In order to solve this problem, it is necessary to develop athird party on-line monitoring equipment for locating the cause of problem andproviding guidance by monitoring the signals of ATEs.In this paper, an online monitoring program with mixed high-speed acquisition ofmultiple types of signals, real-time network transmission, large amount of dataprocessing and maintenance is proposed based on ATE calibration and fault diagnosistechnology. Hardware, using the idea of modular design, is composed of three PCBboards to improve the versatility and maintainability of the system. The design of fullydifferential and isolated input signal acquisition channels helps to improve theequipment’s capacityof anti-jamming and common mode tolerance. Embedded networkcommunication and multi-threaded task management are completed by using DM642with powerful control capabilities and DSP/BIOS real-time operating system. A reliabledata transfer mechanism is designed to ensure that the large amounts of acquisition dataare uploading quickly and accurately through network. At last, a host computer program with database applications is developed by VC tofinish data processing, waveform display and fault interpretation. The equipment hasbeen successfully used in monitoring a missile testing process of one ATE. The testresults show that the equipment is reliable, stable and meeting the design requirements.
