A Study On Construction Of Public Sphere In Micro-blog Construction

Since2010micro—blog as new self—media was introduced to China. It build a newplatform for the pubic sphere construction in just three years. Internet user share theirinformation and exchange views in micro-blog, so micro-blog’s open and free platformcharacters gives the public discourse right. The open and diversified opinion expressionpromotes the construction of a new internet pubic sphere, and also certificates the Hagerman’spubic sphere theory in micro-blog. But there also have many problems in the procession ofmicro-blog’s pubic sphere construction.With the development of the economy and society, it brings the diversity of pubic valuesand awakening of self-awareness, so that more and more private affairs into pubic domain. Itmakes the boundary between public sphere and private sphere becomes blurry; the emotionalcatharsis brings rational discussion reductions; the cultural criticism gradually gave way tocultural consumption. These problems hinder the procession of micro-blog public domainconstruction.This paper referes to the related field theory, basis on three conditions of Hagerman’spublic sphere construction, and takes Sina micro-blog as study object. It study the possibilityof micro-blog’s public sphere construction and the problems, and then provides improvementmeasures. These measures will promote micro-blog play a better role in building aharmonious and rational public platform.
