Analysis Of Information Connection Mechanism Of Spokesperson System

As the core essence of the spokesperson system, the information connectionmechanism has a very important role in protecting the public’s right to know, guidingpublic opinion, promoting positive interaction between government and the publicand maintaining social harmony and stability. The inner mechanism of informationconnection is a series of continuous interactive processes involving the collection,planning, preparation and release of information as well as the relative feedback. Thedevelopment of the spokesperson system in China is a history of transformation fromthe sole information control to constantly improving information connection. Basedon the analysis of the case in Dongguan, this paper points out the problems in thecommunication of information, such as the ignorance of the law of news andcommunication, the severe bureaucracy and the uneven quality of spokespersons, andargues that the deeper reason for these problems is the lack of effective legalprotection, defective supervision and accountability mechanisms and too strongadministrative dominance in the information connection mechanism. It believes thatthe information connection mechanism in the spokesperson system should beimproved by enhancing the supportive rules and regulations, establishing aninteraction mechanism from information collection through to feedback, improvingthe news conference system and the mechanism for training and selection ofspokespersons and making good use of the media and other modern communicationtechnologies.
