Design And Implementation For RPR Network Managemen

Because of the rapid development of radio and television, metropolitan areanetwork, backbone network bandwidth demand increase sharply. While the backbonenetwork implementation has SDH, RPR and exchange based ATMThis paper is based on RPR equipment. We use the SNMP to implement thecommunication with the PC and RPR equipment，and we use C#to manage theequipment. RPR is widely used in radio and television broadcasting ring network, butwe don t have proper software to manage the network. This paper is based on thebackbone platform in lab to make a software to manage the backbone network and dosome valuable exploration for the future.The study of the paper is as follows:Firstly this paper based on the functional requirements of RPR networkmanagement software to analyze the RPR network management software modulesand functions, in order to lay the foundation for the design of the software. Secondlybased on the SNMP protocol and RPR principle, we design the RPR transmissionmodule. The software uses UDP transmission mode, in accordance with the SNMPprotocol to group packages and solve packages, RPR network management softwarebased on the functional requirements to design the functional modules to achieve anetwork status monitoring and RPR device status query, reaching the purposes ofRPR ring network management.Finally this paper analyzes the require of RPR network management softwaredeeply, surveys a lot of technical research and architecture, uses existing maturetechnology to design and complete the RPR network management systems, and willplay a catalytic role in future applications in the network.
