| IP metropolitan area network (MAN) is one of key part of telecommunication network. Along with the acceleration of the national information industries, data communication, especially the IP services are becoming the growth point of China’s telecommunication business, and has become a strategic focus of telecom operator’s business development. The condition whether the planning and construction of the IP MAN is reasonable, sound, safe or not will make a direct impact on the telecom business in the future development.This thesis takes the IP MAN construction as the goal, with a focus on MAN network planning and service deployment. The thesis discusses based on an actual local network about the requirement of service development and market competition, the implementation of access bandwidth upgrading, and the integration of services, in order to enhance the capability of service provisioning of broadband access networks. The main points are as follows:(1) The thesis provides an analysis of the current business situation of IP MAN and IP bearer network status, as well as sum up some of the major problems aimed at the business within the metropolitan area and existed in user access part(2) The thesis presents the research for the development of IP MAN technology; put forward IP MAN planning on the basis of practical projects’experience as well as our investigation into the current IP technology and carrier IP networks.(3) For the main structure of the IP MAN, a design from various layers of the network, routing planning is given on the scale of construction, equipment configuration and the technical requirements of operational deployment.The technical solutions from the investigation give a resolution to the user access of new urban areas and transformation of user access in ultra-long copper areas, to enhance IP bearer network capacity, to provide service isolation, end to end service assurance and differentiated services management and control capability. |
