With the development of China’s economy and the constant improvement ofChinese financial market, banknote sorter is playing an increasing importance role insort business of bank, which as an advanced financial instrument combined withpattern recognition,digital image processing and industry automation control. In thestudy, the BSC-450banknote sorter is4+1vertical sorter, which can implementbanknote sorting tasks according to the denomination, old or new, count, directionand mixing sorting, and can set the batch, glue and level separately.The thesis mainly aims at the control system of BSC-450banknote sorter. TheBCS-450banknote sorter uses distributed control architecture, each moduleinformation via a COM hub to make communications to form an efficient controlstrategy. The main control module get information from image acquisition module,magnetic module, thickness measurement module, the information includingbanknote version authenticity, new or old, incomplete degree, note denomination,direction and damage degree, the main control module can make the comprehensiveprocessing of note information and control the direction of note in the machine;electromagnet control module can receive the banknote information send by the maincontrol module, driven rotary electromagnet according to the main controlinformation to control the switch closed; the motor control module mainly controlthe main motor, banknote motor and fan motor, the main motor is controlled by relay,while the banknote motor and the fan motor are controlled by PI (ProportionIntegration) control algorithm----bipolar pulse control; It uses Holzer effect to testthe thickness of the whole note in thickness module.In the control system, the development environment is the Silicon LaboratoriesIDE, the compiler environment is Keil uVision3, the development language isstandard C, which is easy to expand the system.
