Network video surveillance possesses the advantages of video surveillance andcomputer network, it can realize whole digital transmission of HD video stream andcan solve the problem of geographical limitation of building surveillanceenvironment by using traditional video surveillance technique. Thus, it representsthe forefront of technology of surveillance industry. However, there is a seriousproblem in the interoperability among different manufacturers because the lost of auniform standard for the techonology which is so flexable and wide. At the same,the problem make difficulties to establish large-scale network surveillanceenvironment.Under the current situation mentioned above, this study designs a kind ofintelligent control system for building large-scale environment of network videosurveillance. This study is also in accordance with the product designingrequirement, seted up by Hisilicon Corperation, of the standarized network videosurveillance. At the first, this paper analyzes the basic principle of Web Services inthe network video surveillance applications and the core content of ONVIFspecification. Secondly, by combining with the normal method of buildingsurveilliance and the applications of ONVIF, this paper design a multi-level modelfor network devices to adapt large-scale surveillance environment, it could realizethe transport of control and data message between device and adds new content intoONVIF specification to make the access andexpansion of devices more intelligentand convenient. The software, developed by using gSOAP, is designed to an WebServices Network lib to used in corss-platform devices. In the end, the lib is addedinto physical surveillance devices and take the corresponding test.By using the software lib, which is designed in this paper, users can designtheir network front-end, back-end and management platform to build network videosurveillance environment without the knowledge of ONVIF protocol. Theexperimental results show that the design meets the goal of itself.
