Guidance radar is a key part of the missile guidance system, its performance ofthe pros and cons will directly affect the accuracy of missile guidance. Andoperational performance,and even affect the process and results of the entire war.Therefore, the guidance radar is the most important, it related to the missile canfulfill combat missions or not. Recent years the rate of replacement of guidanceradar has been significantly improved with the constant attention of the country forthe defense industry as well as high-tech industry intensified impact on the defenseindustry. As a “Judge Officer” of product quality in the process of production,development, maintenance of a guidance radar, Guidance radar test system will alsogradually develop toward a standardized, universal, modular, integrated, intelligentdirection with the upgrade of the measured object.This article focuses on a description of the development of the guidance radartest equipment while analysis of the test mechanism of the whole testsystem.Guidance radar test equipment is a part of the full-missile test system, It ismainly responsible for the test of the relevant signal of the missile guidance radar,And it will transmit the test results and data to main control computer which is themaster part of the full-missle test system for analysis and saving through theEthernet port.Guidance radar test equipment is a kind of automatic test system thatestablished based on the PXI bus. The whole system consists of PXI chassis, PXIembedded controller, PXI common data acquisition module the CPCI countermodule, CPCI motor control module, CPCI equivalent module, keyboard, display,signal conditioning and switching chassis as well as supporting externalcablecomposition. It can implement those functions that test and measurement ofguided radar signals, and control of the moving target simulator, and self-testfeatures for test equipment itself.In the part of hardware designs, this paper describes the key modules of theguidance radar test equipment, counter module and equivalent module. counter module measures the time parameters of the pulse signal like pulse width, period,delay, etc.equivalent module analog level signal and pulse signal of guidance radar,in order to self-test of the test equipment and thus improve the safety and reliabilityof the test equipment.System software platform is Labwindows/CVI8.5. The software design isorganic combination of VISA technology, database technology and TCP/IPtechnology.The entire software is divided into radar integrated test software anddebugging software. Radar integrated test software is divided into the controlsoftware and test software. Control software is a dynamic link library thatembedded into the Test Launch Control Computer for its call. Test software in theintegrated test equipment response to measure commands and control commandssent through the network by the Test Launch Control Computer. DebuggingSoftware consist of manually debugging software and analog measurementsoftware,it is a separate function of testing equipment.It is proven that hardware and software of test equipment meet the designrequirements and make it have favorable commonality and expansibility.
