As the development of precision guided weapon, kinetic energy weapon and otherinfrared (IR) image tracking system,semi-physical simulation system within-laboratorywill be needed for the performance test, evaluation and dynamic demonstration of theIR imaging guidance weapon system, while IR target simulator is one of the keytechnologies. Dynamic IR imaging generation technology is necessary for the design,experiment, simulation, measurement and evaluation of IR imaging guidance weapon.Traditional methods contain massive outfield flight experimental according to fixed areaand specific environment and could not obtain IR images in various regions andenvironments. According to the powerful image generation function of the computer,various IR scenes of the practical battlefield can be simulation generated effectively andconveniently, which reflects a lively performance of the IR radiation distribution of theguidance system, thus providing an effective, convenient and low-cost means for thedesign and evaluation of the IR imaging guidance weapon.In this dissertation our work is explored as follows:Firstly, the background and present research situations of the simulationtechnology domestic and abroad are summarized. Then the essentiality and necessity ofinfrared guidance is discussed. Subsequently,the general design and description of thedynamic infrared target simulator is proposed based on one of the product developmentsof the Second Academy China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation. At last,adetailed description of the design project,technology index,operation principle and theparameter application of the IR target simulator is delivered. The device designed andproduced for the system proved to be operability in both theory and actual application.At the end of the dissertation, the completed work and the innovative points arereviewed and the prospect of future research direction is discussed.
