The moving Target Simulator (TS) is one of key parts of artillery Hardware-in-loop Simulation System (HSS). TS provides Target-tracking system of the artillery a simulative moving target. By changing the velocity or the position of the Simulator, we can estimate accurately the performance of the Target-tracking system of the artillery, such as the ability of capturing target, tracking target, and the ability of the dynamic performance, in laboratory.Firstly, on the basis of referring to lots of foreign and civil references, the paper explains the importance of Hardware-in-loop Simulation in the research of artillery system, summaries relative techniques in the Position Servo System design. The software and hardware platforms of the developing system are introduced at the same time. The paper produces the structure and working principium of TS. Then, determines collective design scheme, selects main part of system based on its requirement.The paper establishes system' s models and implements closed-loop control to the system using MSP430F149 Microprocessor and CPLD. Interfaces of the microprocessor and its peripheral equipment are taken focus on in hardware designed. Meanwhile, the characteristic of RS-485 is introduced and the relative application problem is solved.Finally, the software frame is described briefly, initialization, input and output of controller of the system is built, the serial communication functions are realized.
