With the rapid development of computer and communication technology and their applications in social-ecnomical areas, it has been widely accepted that the Remote Data Disaster Recovery (RDDR) technology is one of the most important technologies in system reliability. This thesis presents a comprehensive and indepth study on Nanjing Labol and Social Security information system designing which is based on Storage Area Network (SAN) and Virtual Private Network (VPN) technologies.This thesis gives a brief introduction of the principles and key techniques in RDDR. Then the network situation and data recovery requiremnents of Nanjing Labol and Social Security Bereau are analyzed in detail. The full design scenario is proposed including the system architecture design, SAN and VPN construction scheme, and some key techniques in constructions. Finally, an implementation issue is provided along with the system testing results.
