The computer network has gradually become the intergral infrastructure of most people and business entities with its continuous development and popularization. The computer network is growing prosperity, but also faced with many problems. Complex network structure, a wide range of network equipment which is hard to maintain, difficult to guarantee the quality of service, and so on. These pose a severe chanllenge for network monitoring. Network service quality monitoring is playing an increasingly prominet role in the network management. This thesis comes from the actual application requirements. It designed and implemented a network quality of service monitoring system based on C/S structure. It runs on Windows family platfomrs, using a Web-based management system. It is developed in C++programming language, using the Sql Server database system and the Winpcap packet capture tool. The main work this thesis accomplished is as follows:1. Network quality of service monitoring requirements analysis:Client management, KPI monitoring, and other auxiliary functions.2. Design and implement a network monitoring system based on C/S struture.3. Design and implement a reliable message-oriented application-layer protocol: is has the speed and low-overhead of UDP, and also the reliability assurance of TCP as well as good scalability and maintainability.4. IOCP object-oriented encapsulation:after having studied many IOCP class library, we design and implement this IOCP framework which has a simple and easy-to-use interface, object-oriented, scalable and strong.I made in-depth reflection and exploration in engineering practice. I paid more attention on versatility and scalability at system design and implementation details. This system has a good reference value when building similar systems.
