The research of this paper is derived from “The Architecture System of EnterpriseApplication Software for the Survey&Design Based on SOA Technology”, which is asub-topic of the project “Research and Application for Key Technology of the Survey&Design Enterprise Informatization”. The Project is one of the Key Projects in theNational Science&Technology Pillar Program during the Eleventh Five-Year PlanPeriod.At present, a lot of QoS (quality of service) related research work see QoS as astatic state, but which is dynamically transferring with change of environment orinternal implementation of web service. To obtain accurate data related to QoS, it isnecessary to monitor the quality of web service in real-time. Through analyzing thework related to monitoring QoS of web service, the two points about the QoS researchare listed: one is to collect information of QoS at runtime of web service; the other is toevaluate QoS by effective evaluation algorithm.According to the analysis, this paper proposed the research of IOWA operator thatmight effectively integrated information according to user requirement, and improvedthe traditional IOWA operator based algorithm for QoS evaluation. Based on theimproved algorithm, a SNMP based monitoring mechanism for QoS of web service wasprovided, which implemented a real-time, effective and accurate evaluation method forQoS of web service.Following are the completed tasks in this paper:①It analyzed the related technologies of QoS for Web service,included webservice, quality of web service and simple network management protocol technology.②It analyzed QoS parameters and built the computing models of important QoSparameters, researched IOWA operator, according to its advantage, selected it as theresearch foundation of evaluating algorithm for QoS.③It proposed the improved algorithm for evaluating QoS, which fixed the issuethat the present IOWA based evaluating algorithm didn’t consider the affect ofevaluation result from weight coefficient of IOWA operator, optmazited the weightcoefficient of IOWA operator, provided an improved IOWA operator based algorithmfor evaluation of QoS parameters.④Based on the improved algorithm, it proposed a SNMP based monitoring mechanism for QoS of web service, which implemented the collection of informationrelated to QoS parameters via extended SNMP agent and management information base,and implemented the QoS evaluation by extended SNMP management station.⑤By simulation experiments and analysis, it verified the proposed monitoringmechanism for QoS of Web service and the improved evaluation algorithm. It showedthat evaluation results from the improved algorithm was closer the true level of QoS.
