In the new media age, the spread is no longer confined to interpersonal communication, mass communication, and group communication. Every evolution of the communication tools has a direct impact on the real society. In the past three years, the microblogging has made a considerable development, especially in2012, because of the microblogging, the mode of transmission are undergoing endless fission.Microblogging has witnessed every landmark event in people’s lives, bringing a profound media revolution and sparking an unprecedented "micro power", which change the way to communicate with each other. Especially in public events, Microblogging plays a tremendous role. This confirms "the medium is the message" theory put forward by the Canadian media scholar Marshall McLuhan. This new medium brings the endless communication revolution for Chinese society, but in the other hand, it has negative impact on our public lives, such as rumors. Depending on the microblogging, rumors has a direct impact on our lives, which makes us think more.In the future, Microblogging will bring up what kind of information revolution, and how to play a role in public events, which is paper focusing on. Basing on "grabing the salt incident", this article studies the formation mechanism of social rumor. Hope this paper provide an objective analysis on the media law of the microblogging rumors, provide the theoretical basis of the phenomenon to social rumor, and provide guidance on social practice.
