As an information-based society, it is characterized by resource digitalization, economicglobalization, virtualization, cultural diversity, information network in the21st century.Therefore, our society put forward new requirements on knowledge structure and cultivationmode of talents, which brings great opportunities and challenges for the development ofvocational education, but also makes the secondary vocational education face more seriouschallenges, because the competition becomes increasingly fierce between schools. In order tosurvive in the competitive environment and achieve sustainable development, secondaryvocational schools have to adapt to the constantly changing and a higher-level socialrequirements. By nurturing and improving their core competitiveness, they can obtaincompetitive advantages and achieve sustainable development. Basing on the basic theory ofinformation economics, systems theory, the pedagogy, managements,this thesis hassystematically studied on connotation, characteristics, nurturing way, evaluation index system,the model and cases of the core competitiveness of secondary vocational schools under thebackground of informatization, by using various methods, such as literature, interviews,modeling, case analysis, SWOT analysis. The main research work includes the following threeparts:Firstly, the paper has researched on the constructive system of vocational schools corecompetitiveness under the background of informatization:(1) To put forward that the corecompetitiveness of vocational schools is a system which is composed of competitiveness ofthe whole school faculty, students, space, equipments and other factors.(2) To analyze that thesystem of core competitiveness has features of integrity, structured and purposeful properties.(3) To analyze the impact mechanism of informatization in the core competitiveness ofvocational schools.(4) To Propose the strategic conditions, resource conditions andmanagement conditions of fostering the core competitiveness system of vocational schools.(5)To design the specific measures of core competitiveness of vocational schools.Secondly, according to constructive system of the core competitiveness of secondaryvocational schools, this paper designed evaluation index system and the structure model of core competitiveness of the secondary vocational schools. The model consists of thesubsystems such as the cultural construction, management system, teaching staff, the schoolprincipals and leadership, majors, personnel cultivating program.Thirdly, taking Guangdong Economic and Trade Vocational School as an example, thispaper has illustrated that the constructive system of the core competitiveness of secondaryvocational schools has the guiding and directing functions for elements constructing of the corecompetitiveness. It has analyzed the feasibility of evaluation index system of corecompetitiveness in the secondary vocational schools and verified the rationality of the systemstructure model of core competitiveness.
