After the entry into the new century, our secondary vocational education adheres to the service-aimed and employment-oriented educational principle. The education is developing fast and expanding constantly. With the increasingly deepening reform, its quality and efficiency have made an apparent improvement. In addition, the present fierce market competition urges the vocational education to take the active steps to fight against the competition, and due to the competition, the vocational education is full of vitality and vigor. The competition is one of the significant factors for the development of school. The results of the competition lead to the survival of the fittest, so that the limited educational resources can be reasonably allocated. If the secondary vocational schools want to survive in the fierce market competition and develop in a fast speed, they must create their own most dependent, most lasting core competitiveness; attach much importance to both the school size and the quality at the same time; take effective measures to promote the coordinated development of the secondary vocational school among their size, structure, quality, and efficiency. They should take advantage of the unique resources to develop their own core competitiveness, and support the present and future of schools.Many experts have cared about the research of the core competitiveness of enterprises, colleges, and vocational colleges very much for a long time, but from the existing research, few have made the systematic research on the core competitiveness of secondary vocational schools. Thus such a kind of research is of great importance.According to the understanding and grasp of the relevant knowledge of core competitiveness, first of all, the thesis makes the theoretical research on the basis of consulting documents and information related to core competitiveness to confirm its factors. Then it analyzes the status quo of its core competitiveness from the perspective of the school management, profession designs, internship training, teaching staff, school-enterprise cooperation, school culture, etc, to find out existing problems and come up with the strategies for improving the core competitiveness of the secondary vocational school. At last, in the form of cases analyses, it further explains these strategies by means of interviewing leaders and teachers of the Number One Vocational School of Liuzhou.This paper begins its research on enhancing the core competitiveness of vocational schools with research methods, such as the document methods, interviews, case analyses. It can be divided into five parts as follows:Section 1 illustrate the background, meaning and content methods of the research, explain the status quo of core competitiveness of enterprises and schools, etcSection 2 explains the confirmation of core competitiveness of secondary vocational schools. Through consulting documents, we conclude its connotation, characteristics and six elements.Section 3 analysis of secondary vocational schools the status of core competence.Six elements of the core competitiveness all have six problems as follows: 1,school management lacks originality;2,profession designs are short of the adaptability to the economic society;3,the construction of the teaching staff still exists deficiency;4,the construction of the internship training facilities lags behind economic and social development; 5,school-enterprise cooperation misses characteristic modes;6, the construction of the school culture is devoid of characteristicsSection 4 brings forward the tactics of enhancing the core competitiveness of the secondary vocational school:1, Explore new school management system, establish a sound training system for school principals2, Perfect the school's professional settings, to adapt to economic and social needs3, Strengthen the construction of the teaching staff, and promote the development of secondary vocational schools in the core competitiveness4,Strengthening of practical training facilities, and raise the core competitiveness of secondary vocational schools.5, Exploit the characteristic mode of the school-enterprise cooperation, widening the educational mode of the secondary vocational schools6,Make up the unique school culture, and highlight the special features of secondary vocational schoolsSection 5 According to the above discussion about the core competitiveness of secondary vocational schools, taking the Number One Vocational School of Liuzhou for example, through some interviews with partial leaders and related teachers, the paper explains the status of the core competitiveness of the school and achievements that has been made, and further puts forward solutions to the core competitiveness. There are three major aspects: 1, a brief introduction of the Number One Vocational School of Liuzhou. 2, the status quo of the Number One Vocational School of Liuzhou in the core competitiveness 3, the strategies of improving the core competitiveness of Number One Vocational School of Liu zhou.
