Analysis Of The Core Competitiveness Of Sichuan XX Vocational College

Our country has consistently adhered to the strategy of invigorating China through the development of science and education and always stressed that we should take education as the foundation in the long run.Along with the passage of time,China enters a new era,whose development proposes a more comprehensive demand for social talents.Therefore,for the sake of the social development,in addition to realizing the modernization of education and basically building a learning society,there are wideranging adjustments made on education strategies and goals of China,so as to gradually enter the ranks of great human resources countries.It is necessary to cultivate all kinds of all-rounded specialized talents of moral,intellectual and physical development in order to meet the needs of modernization.With long-term changes,higher vocational education in our country has gradually become an indispensable and important part of our higher education cause.Under the background of fierce competition in our country and even in the whole world,how private higher vocational colleges survive and develop is an issue worth discussing.Taking Sichuan XX Vocational College as the research object,thesis first describes the industry competition status by means of the five forces model;Secondly,the evaluation index system of the core competitiveness of higher vocational colleges is established in line with the development characteristics of the college and the weight of the index is calculated by AHP(analytic hierarchy process).The competitive advantages and disadvantages of Sichuan XX Vocational College are proposed by the data of competitors and comparison of the evaluation index system.Finally,in the light of the analysis results and the college’s own situation,the author puts forward some specific suggestions on the cultivation of the core competitiveness of Sichuan XX Vocational College.Through data comparison,it can be found that Sichuan XX Vocational College ranks top in the aspects of campus environment and educational conditions,which are the competitive advantages of the college and should be maintained.However,there is a big gap between the college and the other two universities from perspectives of professional construction,faculty structure,scientific research ability,talent training and so forth,which are the competitive disadvantages of the college to be improved.Based on the above analysis results,thesis formulates core competitiveness cultivation strategies for Sichuan XX Vocational College as follows.The college should strengthen specialty construction and innovation,stabilize and optimize the teaching staff and establish and perfect the scientific research system.In addition,it is suggested to strive to improve the employment rate of graduates,optimize the management system and improve the core competitiveness of the college by enhancing the competitive disadvantages,so that Sichuan XX Vocational College can survive and develop in the fierce competition.Thesis also provides some reference for the development of other private higher vocational colleges.
