The primary and secondary teacher burnout issue has become a hot research in recent years. The existing research is mainly to study the large group of teachers, while ignoring the situation and reasons of primary school head teacher burnout. The purpose of this study is to investigate the actual state of the elementary school teacher burnout, and discussed in depth the relationship between the head teacher coping, stress and job burnout, to provide theoretical basis for the measure of effectively prevent and mitigate the teacher burnout. Methods:using the MBI-ES, the Primary and Secondary Teacher Stress Questionnaire, and the COPE (third edition) to survey the situation of321primary school head teachers.The results:First, there is significant difference between the primary head teacher burnout in aspect of the seniority, the title, the urban and rural areas, and the education degree, embodied in the group of teaching seniority of11to15years has significant difference with other groups; Township primary school head teacher burnout is significantly higher than the county and city, no professional title group of the head teacher burnout is significantly below the professional title group, the high school degree group of head teacher burnout is significantly higher than the junior college and bachelor degree groups;Second, there are pair wise correlation between primary school head teacher burnout, stress and coping. It shows like, the total level of primary school head teacher burnout, the emotional exhaustion dimension, and the depersonalization dimension have significant positive correlations with the total level of stress and its eight dimensions; the ways of solve the problem has a significant negative correlation with the total level of burnout and its dimensions, the total level of primary school head teacher burnout, the emotional exhaustion dimension, and the depersonalization dimension have significant positive correlations with self-accusation, retreat, fantasy, and seeking help has a significant negative correlation with diminish person accomplishment; there is a significant negative correlation between the total level of stress with problem solving, which come from students, career development, physical and mental characteristics and family problems; the total level of stress has significant positive correlations with self-accusation, retreat, fantasy, and rationalization.Third, the primary school head teacher stress can significantly predict the emotional exhaustion dimension, and the depersonalization dimension, and the negative coping style is the partial mediator between the primary school head teacher stress and depersonalization dimension.The conclusion:First, primary school head teacher burnout is affected by the demographic characteristics, the teacher with different demographic characteristics, and their burnout has significant differences;Second, the more stress primary school head teachers have, the higher the sense of the job burnout they feel, and the more serious the degree of emotional exhaustion and depersonalized they are;Third, the way of coping affects the head teacher burnout, the more mature ways they use, such as the problem solving-seeking help, the lower the head teacher burnout feeling, whereas the burnout is higher; the more problem solving they use, the lower working pressure they feel.Fourth, the primary head teacher stress through the immature coping style increased the degree of teacher burnout.
